Master’s of Engineering (non-thesis) in BBME – Biomanufacturing concentration

In 2022, the co-supervising Departments of Biological & Biomedical Engineering recently launched the McGill Master’s of Engineering (M. Eng) in Biological and Biomedical Engineering (non-thesis) – biomanufacturing concentration.

The program extensive learning activities delivered by world-renowned scientists and professors. Students who graduate from the program form part of the unique opportunity to contribute to novel healthcare solutions from a manufacturing and engineering perspective, addressing the need to enhance Canada’s biomanufacturing excellence and pandemic readiness.

The program will provide students with:

  • Advanced knowledge and competencies in the rapidly evolving fields of biological and biomedical engineering.
  • Hands-on experience through projects carried out during internships to establish a solid foundation of competencies required for professional activities in the Biomanufacturing and Life Sciences sector, including agility, adaptability, teamwork, responsibility and life-long learning.

 

Quick facts about the program:

  1. Two (2) semesters of coursework focusing on bioprocess engineering, bioreactor design, purification, analytics, good manufacturing practice, and legal and ethical aspects.
  2. Eight (8) month internship in leading biotech firms that manufacture products such as vaccines, cell therapies, delivery systems and more.

  • International students: January 15, 2025
  • Canadian/Permanent Residents: June 21, 2025

Early Decision: Those who apply by November 30, 2024, will receive an early decision by December 31, 2024.
