Sign up for the MRM Graduate Mentorship Program

The MRM Trainee Committee is accepting applications for the second round of matching for the MRM Graduate Mentorship Program. This program helps incoming/early-stage graduate students find their footing in graduate school by being matched with a senior student within the MRM network. The program aims to facilitate meaningful and lasting connections between students at different stages of their grad school journey, where mentors will be able to demonstrate their leadership and interpersonal skills and mentees will gather valuable advice.

We are currently recruiting both mentors and mentees.
To sign up for the mentorship program, please fill out the form below by March 13, 2023, 11:59 P.M.

Sign up as a Mentor! Sign up as a Mentee!

How does it work?

Mentors and mentees are matched based on their research interests and their preferences for meeting frequency (once per month, bi-monthly, or other) and meeting format (online or in person). The minimum duration of involvement in the MRM Graduate Mentorship Program is one academic semester. After one term, mentors and mentees can either continue in their original pairing or re-register to be matched with a new partner.

Mentors can expect to gain valuable mentorship activity experience where they can share specific skills, broaden their perspectives on graduate life, and find community through helping their peers.

Mentees can expect to gain valuable advice on graduate life at McGill in regenerative medicine research. Mentees will be able to grow their research confidence, get to know Montreal/McGill better, expand their networks, and feel well-equipped during the early stages of their graduate degree.

If you have any questions about the program, please visit the program’s webpage or contact us at mrm@mcgill.ca.
