Research Assistant position – Stem Cells and Cell Reprogramming Lab, IRCM

The Stem Cells and Cell Reprogramming Laboratory at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and driven Research Assistant to join an interdisciplinary team of scientists. Dr. Malleshaiah laboratory works in the fields of stem cell biology, cellular reprogramming, cancer and computational biology. The lab routinely uses high-throughput single-cell methods (e.g. proteomics and transcriptomics) in combination with biochemistry and cell biology to understand the molecular basis of cell fate decisions. The team is highly multi-disciplinary and members with different expertise and backgrounds work collaboratively.

Qualifications

Applicants should have completed graduate studies in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics or related discipline. To complement the team and projects, the lab is looking for a candidate with significant experience in cellular, molecular and biochemical approaches. Candidates with specific experience in stem cell culture and differentiation, genomics, proteomics, CRISPR, and the associated computational analysis methods will be given strong consideration. The candidate is expected to use part of the time towards laboratory management.

EMployment conditions

Full-time position. Fixed term contract renewable on yearly basis.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
