Results of the MRM Internal Funding Spring 2023 Competition
The MRM Network is pleased to announce the results of the Spring 2023 MRM Internal Funding Competition.
The MRM Internal Funding supports research that seeks novel forward-looking insights and discovery into a basic understanding of stem cells biology, which ultimately translates into novel technologies and regenerative medicine. It aims at facilitating the use of the numerous quality platforms built across McGill University by funding pilot research projects using these MRM-affiliated core facilities.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the Awardees:
Michel Tremblay, Department of Biochemistry and Goodman Cancer Institute, for his project: Exploring PTPN1/PTPN2 transcriptomes of natural killer cell anti-tumor cytolytic responses, involving the McGill Applied Genomics Innovation Core (MAGIC).
Hideaki Okuyama, School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Voice and Upper Airway Laboratory led by Nicole Li-Jessen, for his project: Biomaterial-aided cell delivery for the repair of injured laryngopharyngeal skeletal muscles, involving the Advanced Bioimaging Facility (ABIF) and the Imaging and Molecular Biology Platform (IMBP).
Rebecca Robertson, Department of Biochemistry, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Chang Lab, for her project: Sexual dimorphism in the transcription of muscle stem cells, involving the GCI Flow Cytometry Innovation Platform.
We would like to congratulate all the winners and participants in this competition and to extend the warmest thanks to the members of the MRM Funding & Infrastructure Committee for their evaluation of the applications.
