About the 2nd Lab

The education and development of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers is fundamental to fostering a culture and society that thrives on innovation. Unfortunately, a vast majority – over 80% – of early-career scientists report feeling unsupported in their career paths beyond academia. This is where the 2nd Lab steps in, with a mission to empower such individuals to realize their full potential and pursue fulfilling careers that make a positive impact on society. As a non-profit organization, the 2nd Lab provides research institutions with advisory services and offers early-career scientists mentorship, career training, support, and professional development opportunities. the2ndlab.com
