The Stem Cell Network (SCN) and the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) aim to bring stem cell and regenerative medicine research from the lab bench to clinical applications. Canadian and Japanese researchers have a long track record of ground-breaking discoveries in the field of regenerative medicine, so SCN and AMED are excited to partner in hosting a virtual research showcase event that explores the innovative and impactful stem cell and regenerative medicine research activity in both countries.

The showcase event will profile the breadth of Canadian and Japanese research activity in areas including pluripotent stem cell (PSC) derived tissue engineering and clinical applications of PSCs, disease modeling using stem cell programming/reprogramming and organoid/gastruloids, as well as advances in gene therapies and genetic modifications. The showcase will include keynote and plenary talks from leaders in the field of stem cells, regenerative medicine, and gene therapy. Talks will cover the discovery, development, and clinical translation of stem cell and regenerative medicine therapies. Register here to attend.

Moderator:

  • Janet Rossant, University of Toronto, Canada
