HackMedTech 2023
The MedTech Talent Accelerator is hosting its annual virtual hackathon, HackMedTech 2023. HackMedTech allows students across Canada to collaborate and create an innovative solution for a complex problem in the MedTech industry.
Interdisciplinary teams will be formed with students from McGill, Toronto Metropolitan University (fka Ryerson), Dalhousie, and University of Calgary.
The 2023 HackMedTech challenge is: “Improving throughput of hospital Emergency Departments”, presented by Klick Applied Sciences.
Other partners include William Osler Health System, Montreal General Hospital, and Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
Please register by 10 am EST on Friday, January 13th, 2023.
Through HackMedTech, students can showcase their talent, build problem-solving skills, and network with key industry leaders. Students will help solve pressing business, social, and environmental problems faced within the MedTech industry.
Industry and academic representatives also participate in the hackathon as speakers, mentors, and judges, supporting students in developing their solutions.
Winning teams will be awarded cash prizes (split between team members): 1st place $2,500; 2nd place $1,500; 3rd place $1,000.
This 3-week competition will run from January 30th to February 17th, 2023.
